We must vote for those candidates of any party that reflect these values: hard work, self-determination, smaller government, fiscal responsibility and honesty. Look to the character of anyone you chose to support. Their past does matter if they haven't learned from it. Their personal life is as relevant as their public one. We must be able to trust those who will be advising and leading us on what our country must do next. -Glenn Beck

Differences

I got an email from a friend from High School this last week. He is an Obama supporter & I asked him why. He responded w/a well thought out educated response that I really enjoyed reading. While I was reading it & responding to it I came to a conclusion. Normal people in this country no matter their political views all realize the major problems we have in this country. I think everyone agrees that the war, the economy, etc are all major problems we all need to deal with. We all have different solutions, what this country needs is normal thinking people in office. This Nextel commercial is what we really need in Washington DC:

If only it were that easy right.

I love that commercial! It would be nice if it could be that easy. But just think, if it it's hard to agree with those you grew up with, and people you love on what the solutions should be; just think how hard it is for those men and women in our government coming from all different backgrounds, religions, beliefs, etc. I wouldn't want to be a politician EVER!

Ha! Nice! It should totally be like that. After we went on a Disney cruise my husband and I always joke that Disney should run the world. Things go smoothly and are happy when they're involved ;).

That is a great commercial. I agree with Lori. I mean you are trying, as a politician, to please so many people. There is always bound to be someone unhappy.

My issues with politicians now days is that they seem to forget the people and vote for who ever gave them the biggest campaign contribution. I know it has always been this way it just seems worse. Maybe with the news now time we live in it is exaggerated.
